What Does International Ground Source Heat Pump Association Mean?

The International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) is a non-profit organization, established in 1987. It is run by members and focuses on advancing ground source heat pump (GSHP) technology on international, national and state level. It is a part of College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) at Oklahoma State University and was founded by Jim Bose.

IGSHPA is the leading organization in setting out standards of design and practice of geothermal heat pump (GHP) systems in the United States. It actively promotes the importance and benefits of geothermal energy and makes awareness of its environmental benefits. Affiliated organizations exist in other countries such as Australia, India, Canada, Sweden, China and South Korea. Annual conferences are organized each year by the association for contractors, owners, manufacturers and distributors.
