What Does Wastewater Planning Users Group Mean?

Waste water planning users group (WaPUG) is a 15 year old non-profit organization that promotes best practice in wastewater industry. It provides various guidelines for planning, surveying and model predictions. WaPUG provides excellent guidelines to make model prediction based decisions for trenchless rehabilitation techniques used for sewer repairs and trenchless sewer installation methods.

Trenchlesspedia Explains Wastewater Planning Users Group

The code of practice for the hydraulic modeling of sewer systems is a comprehensive guideline developed by WaPUG that determines accuracy level, calibration, verification standards and other details required for carrying out different projects.

WaPUG aims at providing a forum of discussion between users and enables information transfer between concerned organizations. It identifies areas for improvement in modules associated with research and development of wastewater planning. It also identifies, encourages and provides training and education on various aspects of wastewater planning.

WaPUG along with Foundation for Water Research (FWR) conducts workshops on relevant subjects of urban pollution.
