What Does American Water Works Association Mean?

The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is an international nonprofit scientific and educational organization founded in 1881. The association is focused on providing various solutions for improving water quality and supply.

AWWA has over 50,000 members worldwide consisting of water utility companies, treatment plant managers and operators, environmentalists, scientists, public health officials and any other persons or bodies involved in the water supply industry and public health.
